Similarities Between Hinata and Mikoto (EDITED) I thought I'd make a topic for this, because I've seen plenty of things that Mikoto and Hinata have in common and I wondered did anyone else have any. Well, I guess I should list some of the things I noticed...
Mikoto Uchiha and Hinata Hyuuga
1) Both have long dark hair that cups the front of their face, but is long in the back. It's the same length as well.
2) The odd ones out of the clan. (Mikoto only has similarities with Sasuke and Itachi, because they are her kids, but other than that, she looks nothing like the rest. And Hinata is the only Hyuuga with Black/purple tinted hair.)
Mikoto, Sasuke, and Itachi look alike. While Fugaku looks more like the rest of the clan members. While Sasuke looks like Mikoto the most.
As you can see. Hinata isn't simular to Neji. But Neji does look like Hiashi, Hanabi, and Hizashi. Which proves my point.
3) Soft-spoken and quiet.
4) Seem to be attracted only to those who feel lesser than others. (Mikoto gave all her attention to Sasuke and wished the best for him, while Hinata gives Naruto her attention and wants the same for him.)
5) Blood type A
6) Both are 5"4. (Mikoto is 162cm---5'4. Hinata was 148cm---4'10 PreTimeskip, but Shippuden wise, if you noticed, Sakura grew 6 inches whereas she was 150cm---4'11. Sakura is now 165cm---5'5, Hinata was one inch shorter than her before. Which makes Hinata 5'4 and based upon cenimeters, she'd be 163cm, one centimeter more, but still considered to be 5'4, making them the same height.
7) Perfect housewives. (Hinata acts like a housewife, much like Mikoto, and was even told by Naruto that she would be perfect wife in a filler ARC---which I doubt Kishi would allow to be put in there for no reason. Hinata can also cook from what we seen and Mikoto was seen cooking.)
8) The liking of the color baige, with a dark colored clothing underneath the baige. (Hinata's jacket PreTS was baige with a dark shirt underneath it, and Mikoto's apron was baige, but she had a dark shirt underneath it.)
The shirt Hinata has under her pretimeskip outfit, is as seen here, purple. While her jacket of course is baige. Mikoto wears purple and baige too.
9) Specializing in ointments and herbs. (Hinata carries around small cups of medicine, while Mikoto takes care of Sasuke injuries on his face with some sort of ointment, most likely made from herbs.)
10) Bring out the better side to dark uncaring males. (Mikoto says that Fugaku's nice around her, and from what we see, Shino cares a lot about Hinata. And Shino is said to be Cruel, dark, and uncaring, with a disliking to loud obnoxious people...ahem...much like a certain dark avenger. Also, Hinata seems to have caught Neji's affection (along with Kiba, but let's keep him out of this. LOL), and Neji acts a lot like Sasuke. That makes 2 people who are Dark and Distant that seem to find Hinata very pleasing. So why wouldn't Sasuke?
11) Soft, Gentle designed eyes. (From what we've seen, Mikoto's eyes don't have pupils, but Sasuke's and Itachi's do (oddly). Hinata's eyes are seemingly pupiless.) Hinata and Mikoto's eyes are big and adorable, with that same white dot in the corner of their eyes. Making their eyes the same way, minus the color.
Their eyes also show their happiness, more so than their smile.
12) Okay, this one is about their names, so please read and hopefully you'll understand. Here it is:
Hinata, if you take away the 'ta' there is Hina. Hina has many meanings... Such as Sun, Moon, Bird, Girl, Doll, Princess, and if you break it down, Hi=Flame or the Sun and Na= Flower and Woman. And that means it can also mean Hina="Flame Woman"(In this case, Lady of the Flame)/"SunFlower".
---When you think about it, Hinata fits all of these. Her name literally means Sun, while she looks like the Moon. Hyuuga's are associated with Birds, She is a girl, She looks kinda like a play doll, and she's an Heiress, whereas we can call her Hinata-hime, Hime means princess. Hinata also has a flame on her Baige jacket, (Lady of the flame) and she seems to love flowers and could be considered the flower of the Hyuuga Clan(Sunflower).
Now, we'll do Mikoto.
Mikoto, if you take away the 'To', then there's just Miko. Miko means "Shrine Maiden". When a Miko is married, she is told to abandon her job as a Miko to be around her husband and kids. (If you think about it, it appears that Mikoto has abandoned her job as a Ninja to become a housewife.) Miko are often known to dance with fans (Uchiha means 'Fan') Also, if you break it down, Mi=Beautiful Ko=Child. But we could break down the 'Koto' in her name too. Koto means "Harp" and her name altogether can mean "Beautiful Harp Fan". (PRETTY! Ahem, excuse me)
The Point I'm trying to make is, that Mikoto and Hinata names are very dept. And are very prominent in history. (Miko's being very popular and Princesses...well, we all know alot about them). Also Mikoto seems to play the role of a Miko when you think about it as well as Hinata fits the role of a princess. Both the girls fit their names perfectly.
And you can also switch their names up to match each other! "Lady Of Flame"=Mikoto the lady of the Uchiha clan "Miko"=Hinata the water dancer
~~~
Um...I'll shut up now. But I'm sorry if the last one didn't make much sense to you. I'm not really good at explaining... But if someone can understand this, then I'd be so happy! :oops: :)
Oh this reminds me...
I once heard this thing where girls look for guys that remind them of their father? (I'm not sure how accurate that is)
But, if it WAS accurate...
Hiashi...: Neji, Sasuke, Shino(?), Itachi(?)
See the similarities between the facial expressions, as well as in personality; both very critical, cold, etc...
Here is the information on the
"Women like guys who look like their fathers" thing:
Woman that enjoyed a good childhood relationship with their fathers are more likely to select partners that resemble their father.
-Below taken from
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/06/070613071240.htm-A team decided to investigate more into the sexual preference for individuals possessing parental characteristics, in women.
The team used facial measurements to give a clear view of how fathers facial features relate directly to the features of faces their daughters find attractive.
The study showed how we choose partners and the impact of a parent's role in this process, which until recently researchers believed to be a passive one. It adds to growing theories that suggest sexual imprinting is an active process which involves the relationship between the child and the adult upon whom they imprint. This reveals the importance of parental relationships in partner selection, which could move studies in areas like evolutionary biology, fertility and genetics a step forward and offer new insights in areas such as relationship counselling and psychology.
Author Dr Lynda Boothroyd of Durham University explains: "These controlled results show for certain that the quality of a daughter's relationship with her father has an impact on whom she finds attractive. It shows our human brains don't simply build prototypes of the ideal face based on those we see around us, rather they build them based on those to whom we have a strongly positive relationship. We can now say that daughters who have very positive childhood relationships with their fathers choose men with similar central facial characteristics to their fathers."
Now, to add on to THAT; So, Hinata DIDN'T have the ideal childhood relationship with her Father. So, the study from above probably DOES NOT apply to Hinata, so forget my theory. :?
BUT, if the Father-Daughter study ALSO relates to a Mother-Son relationship, then the son will prefer a woman that resembles his mother, that is, if they had a good relationship.
Sasuke got along with his Mother, they were on good terms and had a good relationship from what we saw in the flashbacks.
SO, if a Mother-Son relationship thing is equivalent to the Father-Daughter study, then Sasuke will prefer a woman that resembles his Mother.
So, that backs up the main point of this thread, the resemblences between Hinata and Mikoto.
THUS, if Hinata resembles Mikoto, Hinata will be the type of girl Sasuke will supposedly prefer as a partner based on the theory.
Mikoto and Fugaku's Birthday... I recently found out Mikoto and Fugaku Uchiha's birthdays!
Mikoto: June 1st, making her a Gemini
Gemini: Positive, masculine, ruled by Mercury, element is Air
opposite sign: Sagittarius.
Characteristic: Adaptable, creative, kind, thoughtful, open-minded, flexible
Most compatible: Libra, Aquarius, Gemini
Semi Compatible: Leo, Aries, Sagittarius
50-50: Taurus, Cancer
Incompatible: Scorpio, Virgo, Capricorn, Pisces
Geminis get along best with those of Fire and Air signs, as both of those elements are masculine. However, Geminis tend to conflict with those are Earth and Water signs, as those are feminine. This holds true for the rest of the zodiac.
Fugaku: August 16th, making him a Leo
Leo: Positive, masculine, extrovert sign, element is Fire
Characteristics: Proud, risk-taking, dramatic, dignified, loyal, kingly, powerful, protective, warm, broad-minded, cruel, over-aggressive, possessive, dependency issues, materialistic, over-dramatic, argumentative, interfering, jealous, self-serving, intolerant, voracious, and arrogant.
Most compatible: Aries ,Sagittarius
Semi-Compatible: Libra, Gemini, Aquarius
A 50-50 chance with: Cancer, Virgo
Incompatible: Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces, Taurus, Leo
So, Mikoto's element is AIR and Fugaku's element is FIRE astrologically.
In the NARUTO universe, it is thought that Hinata's elements are:
WATER and/or AIR
And Sasuke's:
LIGHTNING/ELECTRICITY and/or FIRESources: www.wikipedia.org and http://www.leafninja.com/uchiha.php
I'll add more to this
LIGHTNING/ELECTRICITY and/or FIRE...
In your comparison, you are using Western Astrology (4 elements) for Fugaku and Mikoto. Naruto and the theories, on the other hand, uses Eastern Astrology (Chinese/Japanese have 5 elements). Although both astrologies have similarities, they are entirely different and are not equivalent in concept. There is, of course, the possibility that Kishimoto may use both at the same time, however, (so far) Kishimoto has been consistent with Chinese/Japanese beliefs.
