Oh, I also wanted to ask something if it's not a big deal July_winter senpai... Well, I found this theory it's from Hawaii, but considering during Pearl Harbor alot of Japanese were trapped there...and well I found something that might be of interest.
It's called the Legend of Hina it's this is what it says:
Who is Hina?
We chose the name for our company with great care, deciding upon one which holds great mana (power, life force) in Hawai‘i and throughout Polynesia: Hina. Goddess of Heaven and Earth.
Hina is one of the prevailing goddesses in our culture, and takes on many forms that are still visible today. She is most notably associated with the moon, however she also appears in various forms of fish, coral, plants and winds. Hina is also associated with the power of growth and production.
It was because of all her associations that we chose this name for our company. It is our goal to teach others about the various aspects of our environment, and as the goddess Hina appears in all, we felt she was the most encompassing representation we could put forth.
And so, Hina Adventures pays homage to this great figure, and strives to represent her well in all that we do.
I find this in a way relating to Hinata. Hinata is often said to resemble the moon.

This is a typical anime moon picture. Notice that the moon and sky resemble Hinata, not to mention the lavender blossoms that appear to be the color of the moon in a way. The Moon is like her skin color, the blossoms like her eyes, and the sky like her hair. Hinata does appear to be a representation of the moon. (Okay, not a GREAT example pic of the Moon but hey, my comps acting up...lol)
As for Growth and Production (as well as life) Hinata also appears to be that to me. Her personality as we all know is solid. But what about the other things about her?
~Hinata and Life~
Hinata's gentle demeanor is to be compared to
winter. Winter is also the cause of depression amoungst most human beings. Is this why Hinata is described as Meek, Gloomy, and Easily Depressed? Also, is Hinata meant to symbolize all small, weak, defenseless animals? For example: a Rabbit. Like a Rabbit, Hinata is prone to run away afraid, Hinata is small and hilariously huggable, she also as well as a rabbit is active during the night.
Odd Note: Animals that change color during the winter are: Artic Foxes, White tailed jack rabbits, and Weasels. Hinata, Naruto, and Itachi?
Hinata is like
summer, because of her interests and friends. She likes Oshibana (Pressing flowers, which is a form of art), Sweets, and her friends, Kiba and Shino symbolize to parts of life: Animals and Insects. And with Hinata and her love for Oshibana, she's most likely, Plants. And their Sensei, Kurenai, specializes w/ Genjutsu... she could possibly be Human's. Which leads me to suspect...could this mean that Humans are blind to the beauty of Life?
Odd Note: Hinata is a Capricorn, Shino is an Aquarius. Shino is insects, Hinata is plants. Insects need plants to live off of. And Capricorns & Aquarius's are said to be like Brother and Sister, complimentary because both can be unemotional and stubborn.
As for Kurenai and Kiba, Kiba is a Cancer, Kurenai is a Gemini. Kurenai is Humanity, while Kiba is animals. Human's feed off of animals majority of the time, but will feed on plants. Just like w/ Hinata and Shino, Kiba and Kurenai are complimentary. Both Cancer's and Gemini's can be clingy and over-bearing.
Is it possible that they symbolize that Plants and Insects can be unemtional and stubborn because they don't have any abilty to feel emotion and attachment like human beings and animals? While animals and humans can get along very well.
Hinata also has a bit of every single character inside her personality. The determination of Rock Lee and Naruto, the representation of flowers like Ino and Sakura (Sakura's name and Ino's interest as well), Neji, Shino, and Sasuke's dark demeanor, ext ext. To me though, she's got most in common with Gaara and Chouji, being that Chouji doesn't have much confidence either and they both eat alot, lol. As for Gaara, the attraction to Naruto and Rock Lee says it all.
Well, I'll stop right here...but I have more to this theory. But I hope it makes sense...
