Yeah, you're right Aciren. What would she be doing in the series anyway? What's her purpose?
Hinata? Hinata as a non-ninja person?
Well perhaps her big role wouldn't come until Part 2; something I'm assuming to do with Sasuke?
I think that before Part 2, she would only make a brief appearance, still liking Naruto, but in a different way I guess seeing as she wouldn't have been a ninja...
Maybe Masashi Kishimoto, if he wanted to pull a SasuHina one, couldn't have had Hinata being a regular girl, because he needed her to meet Sasuke, and he didn't want to make it random?
Also, he probably needed Hinata to become a ninja so that her feelings for Naruto would be more... inspiring/motivating...something?

I mean, I know they imply to the pairing or the characters separately, but how does it explain them? Like the Forgotten lyrics in bold.
But that would take tooo loooong :x
Actually, I'll get back to that when I have time, lol
Danko Kaji- 01-26-2008
then it's normal he is not giving her much credit and leaving her weak as to others. if she isn2t put as a ninja then she would be lost in the serie a long time ago.
Well, it's not that Kishi doesn't give her enough credit, but I think since there are so many strong people as it is, I assume it makes it interesting and original that Hinata's character was weak in the first place. And now she's growing internal strength.
Besides, though I don't care about shy girls much, I like Hinata compared to all the other females, and that's because she has more genuinity. And that's the type of girl Sasuke, an Uchiha, should score. XD
Why go for the temperamental women who would bow to your feet when you can really earn a jewel of a woman whose not in the whole lot? I mean, seriously! XP
Sasuke is Kishi's favorite character. It's a proven fact. Don't you think, since half the main characters are thinking about romantic interests, but Kishi's favorite doesn't care at all, Kishi would give a good choice to Sasuke? For an Uchiha, if he doesn't get a woman especially for his goal to rebuild the clan, he would be single and a virgin? XD
That would be sad as heck! XDD I mean, even Naruto is doing better than him!!

Here's a random note:
Sasuke-Leo, Leo=Lion
Hinata-Capricorn, Capricorn=Goat
Well, Goats are closely related to Lambs.
Anyways, this struck me as SasuHina-ish,
And so the lion fell in love with the lamb
-Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Oh, oh! And here's some other things:
It is all right for the lion and the lamb to lie down together if they are both asleep, but if one of them begins to get active, it is dangerousOnly in art will the lion lie down with the lamb, and the rose grow without a thorn
InvisibleAciren- 01-26-2008
LAMB:
Sheep have had a strong presence within many cultures, especially in areas where they form the most common type of livestock. In the English language, to call someone a sheep or ovine may allude that they are timid and easily led, if not outright stupid.<1> In contradiction to this image, male sheep are often used as symbols of virility and power, such as for the St. Louis Rams and the Dodge Ram.
Counting sheep is popularly said to be an aid to sleep, and some ancient systems of counting sheep persist today. Sheep also enter in colloquial sayings and idiom frequently with such phrases as "black sheep". To call an individual a black sheep implies that they are an odd or disreputable member of a group.<75> This usage derives from the recessive trait which causes an occasional black lamb to be born in to an entirely white flock. These black sheep were considered undesirable by shepherds, as black wool is not as commercially viable as white wool.<75> Stereotypically, sheep are proverbial for their willingness to follow others of their kind. Citizens who accept overbearing governments have been referred to by the portmanteau neologism of sheeple. Somewhat differently, the adjective "sheepish" is also used to describe embarrassment.<76>
-Wikipedia
Hm, makes you think of Hinata huh?
Hinata is timid and easily led, she could be the "black sheep" of the flock, because she is different from the rest, and is considered undesirable as leader by her father.
To add to the "black sheep" thing:
Black sheep is an English language idiom—usually derogatory—which describes an odd or disreputable member of a group, especially within one's family.
Hinata is considered the disreputable member of the Hyuuga clan...
InvisibleAciren- 01-26-2008
LION:
The Lion has been an icon for humanity for thousands of years, appearing in cultures across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Despite incidents of attacks on humans, lions have enjoyed a positive depiction in culture as strong but noble. A common depiction is their representation as "king of the jungle" or "king of the beasts"; hence, the lion has been a popular symbol of royalty and stateliness,<149> as well as a symbol of bravery; it is featured in several fables of the sixth century BC Greek storyteller Aesop.<150>
Ancient Egypt venerated the lioness (the fierce hunter) as their war deities and among those in the Egyptian pantheon are, Bast, Mafdet, Menhit, Pakhet, Sekhmet, Tefnut, and the Sphinx; <149> Among the pantheon are sons of these goddesses such as, Maahes and Dedun as Egyptian deities in full lion form.<152><153>
The Lion Gate of Mycenae (detail) - two rampant lionesses flank the central column that represents a goddess
Careful examination of the lion deities noted in many ancient cultures reveal that many are lioness also. Admiration for the co-operative hunting strategies of lionesses was evident in very ancient times. Most of the lion gates depict lionesses. The Nemean Lion was symbolic in Ancient Greece and Rome, represented as the constellation and zodiac sign Leo, and described in mythology, where its skin was borne by the hero Heracles.<154>
-Wikipedia
Sasuke= brave, strong and noble, like the lion.
Here's some cool notes:
The lion's skin was borne by the hero Heracles in mythology.
Heracles had many women.
His first wife Megara:
In Greek mythology, Megara ("great houses") was the oldest daughter of Creon, king of Thebes. In reward for Heracles' defending Thebes from Orchomenos in single-handed battle, Creon offered his daughter Megara to Heracles<1> and he brought her home to the house of Amphitryon.<2> She bore him a son and a daughter,<3> whom Heracles killed when Hera struck him with temporary madness; in their hero-tombs in Thebes they were venerated as the Chalkoarai.<4> In some sources Heracles slew Megara too,<5> in others, she was given to Iolaus when Heracles left Thebes forever.
In some traditions, in order to atone his guilt, he was forced to perform the Twelve Labours, but in Euripedes' tragedy, Heracles' return from his encounter with Cerberus in Hades begins the agon.
Her father, Creon, was an intimidating man who expected obedience and loyalty, like Hiashi.
His second wife, Omphale:
In Greek mythology, Omphale was a daughter of the river Iardanus and queen of the kingdom of Lydia in Asia Minor; according to Bibliotheke<1> she was the wife of Tmolus, the oak-clad mountain king of Lydia; after he was gored to death by a bull, she continued to reign on her own. Diodorus Siculus provides the first appearance of the Omphale theme in literature, though Aeschylus was aware of the episode.<2> The Greeks did not recognize her as a goddess: the undisputed etymological connection with omphalos, the world-navel, has never been made clear.<3>
Omphale was a part of the river sort of, which is water, which is speculated to be Hinata's element, along with wind.
Then Heracles married a few other women, but they don't have a lot to do with Hinata or Sasuke in any way.
Hey, here's a fun little random thing I found out recently
If you put the first initial of Sasuke and Hinata's name it becomes:
SH
Sh... it reminds me of quietness... And aren't Sasuke and Hinata quiet people?
Danko Kaji- 02-05-2008
Random note indeed. ^^'
Nuriel- 02-15-2008
So, it's been a bit since I checked in here. Just curious what everyone thinks we can expect in naruto in the upcoming chapters. I was rereading all of the wonderful theories in here. And it has me ready for more to happen (or for at least sasuke and hinata to speak to oneanother....). :)
Danko Kaji- 02-15-2008
Hah! Finally! Somebody finally bothered to stop by and leave a message. Dangit. -__-
Actually, I wonder how the Uchiha battle will turn out. It all depends on which half of the group will advance forward to reach Sasuke, what will happen with Tobi/Madara, etc.

Check this out people!!
2008, not only is it proclaimed as Sasuke's year to be active in the manga, is also the year of the Rat.
Rat. Hinata=Rat
Doesn't that tell you something?!
Links to check out the Rat characteristics, talents, and I guess its upcoming fortunes.http://www.springsgreetingcards.com/catalogs/store.asp?pid=232024http://www.usbridalguide.com/special/chinesehoroscopes/Rat.htmLike the rat, you are always busily pursuing a personal goal or ambition, and are thus known as one of the hardest-working signs in the Chinese zodiac. For rats in 2008, any recent setbacks or obstacles can be overcome, so look forward to a year in which to really shine, either personally or professionally.

Look at the text I put in bold lettering:
SHINE
ZOMG, SASUHINA HINTINGS EVERYWHERE!!!!
THE WHOLE WORDS SUPPORTS SASUHINA IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS!
Danko Kaji- 02-20-2008
It's CRAZY, INSANE, UNIMAGINABLE, INDESCRIBABLE-- what else can I say? *shrugs*
I'm abstitively posolutely sure these two are going to end up together. :P
Here's my list of pairings who will end up together in the end. (May the world prove me wrong)
Hint: I heard somewhere (not confirmed), that Kishi will put up the trouble to continue the series straight to their kids, which is probably why there are subtle hintings of many possible pairings.
1) SasuHina
2) NaruSaku
3) ShikaTema
4) ChoujiIno
5) Tenten? (Either Lee or Neji. One of those two)
The only confirmed couple:
1) AsumaxKurenai
2) JiraiyaxTsunade (It couldn't start because Jiraiya wasn't able to come back alive)

But for #4, I like either ChoujiIno or SaiIno, either one is cute!
