Comparison With: Nobuko Kataoka x Toki (senpai) Series: W Juliet By: Emura Summary: Makoto Amano wants to become an actor, but his stern father has decreed that the only way Makoto can pursue his dream is to prove his talent by spending the last two years of high school as a girl! He quickly makes friends with popular tomboy Ito Miura, another drama enthusiast at his new high school, and the only student to discover his secret. Sasuke Uchiha <--> Toki-Senpai Popularity- While Sasuke is infamously known for being a heartthrob, which many girls are deeply attracted to him, Toki is a player and girls usually flock to him. Also, rumors go around saying he can date five women at one time. Onesided Love- While Sakura is infatuated with Sasuke because of his handsome looks and ninja prowess, Toki pursued after Ito possessively because of her tall and slender build complimenting that of Toki's 6'4" height and her untapped potential of being a successful actress. Hinata Hyuuga <--> Nobuko Kataoka Popularity- The two are seemingly minor characters and they always appear in and out of the manga. Nobuko is also a part of the drama club along with Ito and Makoto. Though the two aren't exceptionally talented, Nobuko is the writer in the whole group and she's a likable character among the many characters, especially Toki. (Nobuko is two years his junior and is his kohai. Toki's an alumni within a college troupe and is her senpai.) Hinata is also a likable person to a lot of characters- Neji, Kiba, Kurenai, Shino, Naruto, etc. Hinata and Nobuko are the short, adorable, shy, naive, and modest girls. And also Nobuko's short hairstyle is exactly similar to Hinata's in the Pre-timeskip. Toki and Nobuko's relationship: In the 12th book of the series, Nobuko claims to think of Toki-Senpai to be like a father to her. He also shows a lot of care and worry for Nobuko (in this volume and previously in volume 5, when she was taken away during the joint assembly) when a group of thieves take her hostage. In the rest of the series, it is implied that the two have probably gotten together, especially when Nobuko disarms Toki-senpai with ease during a rather hostile confrontation with Makoto. Important Note #1- In the 'Mikoto and Hinata Similarities Thread', InvisibleAciren discusses about the theory that daughters go for boys who often remind them of their dads, and sons who feel attracted to girls who are like their moms (positive relationship). If so, Nobuko liked Toki in that sense while Sasuke can resemble Hiashi's apathetic behavior and Hinata shares the same compassionate, soft-spoken traits as Mikoto.
