Huh, the statement completely threw me off guard. For some reason, it sounded more ambiguous then it should've been. Then again, I might be paranoid. And I know what you are talking about, July_Winter, but it seems... odd. The problem wasn't mainly about the Hyuuga, but more towards the Cloud country, because they purposefully dealt harm against Konoha trying to kidnap an heiress from a prestigious clan. Not the other way around. No matter if its fiction or reality, I hate the way politics work. -_-; By the way... I am aware of the fact that the secret of the bloodlines can be exploited through the dead recipient. But it's a completely different story if you know how to use the bloodline. What would the Cloud do with the Byakugan besides military power? Or is it just for military purposes? I'm so confused... @_@

It seems to me that Raikage's statement simply compares how Konoha has dealt with Hiashi-murdering-a-Cloud-nin (which would be relatively fast and handing over a dead body at that) against Sasuke-wandering-around (which they cannot seem to at least stop). That's just what I think. ... The problem wasn't mainly about the Hyuuga, but more towards the Cloud country, because they purposefully dealt harm against Konoha trying to kidnap an heiress from a prestigious clan. Not the other way around. No matter if its fiction or reality, I hate the way politics work. -_-;... Suppose the Cloud planned to kidnap a Hyuga and by circumstance - but not intentional - it happened to be Hinata? Hinata could have been in the limelight then because at the time of the peace treaty, only the Hyuga Clan did not join the celebrations because it was her third birthday which is also about the same time Neji and other Branch House members (?) were branded the seal. The advantage of targeting a baby Byakugan is because the user, being young, is less apt to fight competitively against the abduction itself. The Cloud can keep the Hyuga too, allow him/her to develop the Byakugan to its full potential within their grasp - hence, an easier study (assuming that they indeed wanted the secrets of the Byakugan). Too bad though that the Hyuga Clan handed over Hizashi. Even if the Cloud had hoped for studying the Byakugan from the dead, they still can't. ... What would the Cloud do with the Byakugan besides military power? Or is it just for military purposes? I'm so confused... @_@ On the other hand, notice how some of the Cloud nins wear goggles? I'm not sure if that serves a purpose other than trying to look cool but... we all can just wait.

Who all think Sasuke's gonna go blind, right after you saw that one panel were everything kinda went blurry? *raises hand* It kinda makes me sad. Awesome Sauce was so... awesome, and now he's gonna go blind. (maybe) I knew he shouldn't have used the sharingan(?) so much. But this does pose another question. Itachi hadn't been suffering the probability of actually losing his eyesight, I think until part 2.... but with Sasuke has problems right after 2-4 chapters?Makes no sense to me. Maybe his eyes just hate him.XD (oh my god--Karin looked so pretty with her hair up)

july_winter- 09-19-2008

It's sad but I think he'll go blind too :bored That serves Madara right. He seems to be after Sasuke (or his eyes?). Was that the first time his vision went blurry? And yes, Karin was very pretty when she tied her hair :winky

It's sad but I think he'll go blind too :bored That serves Madara right. He seems to be after Sasuke (or his eyes?). Was that the first time his vision went blurry? And yes, Karin was very pretty when she tied her hair :winky Wait, doesn't Sasuke have the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan or is just the regular one? And... at this point, I don't know what to think of Sasuke... -_-' Sigh... He's gradually sinking lower and lower... And I triple that vote! Indeed Karin is kinda pretty with a ponytail. ^^

Pandachan- 09-20-2008

I don't think he has the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. Maybe that was Madara... idk. Also, just a question on Karin, how old do you think she really is? With her hair down she looks (to me) 20-25. It shocked the crap out of me to actually find out her real age. O__o If you know her age then darn.

Hikari-Hime- 09-20-2008

Yeah? what is karins real age? i have to read this chapter cause i have no idea what you guys are talkin about!

july_winter- 09-20-2008

... Wait, doesn't Sasuke have the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan or is just the regular one? ... It doesn't seem like it. Initially, Sasuke got the 'normal' Mangekyou Sharingan from Itachi, and that would have been only the left eye. He achieved a much 'higher' Mangekyou Sharingan (the one that looks like a kaleidoscope right now) on both eyes after he learned the truth about Itachi. This was was probably triggered by his emotions at the time, assuming that the levels of Sharingan are achieved after the user is subjected to extreme distress (or near-death event). Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan is only achieved after a user transplants onto himself the Mangekyou Sharingan eyes of another. Sasuke declined to transplant Itachi's eyes stating they will both see things differently. ... Mah, or so I think  Otherwise, I must have overlooked something or not but misunderstood them anyway. Or Tobi keeps lying. Yeah? what is karins real age? i have to read this chapter cause i have no idea what you guys are talkin about! As per Databook 3, Karin is 16 years old.

yamata-no-orochi is said to have eight tails. like an octopus right?

Pandachan- 09-22-2008

yamata-no-orochi is said to have eight tails. like an octopus right? Close , but not quite right. Switch tails to heads and you're all set! :D I think you're confusing the Yamata no Orochi with the Hachibi, who has eight tails... and apparently the upper torso of an ox... though I was under the impression it was supposed to be a chicken. :/

july_winter- 09-22-2008

yamata-no-orochi is said to have eight tails. like an octopus right? Yamata no Orochi is a snake demon said to have eight heads and/or tails. Orochimaru's hydra form showed eight heads and (not sure about the number of?) tails. Hachibi is an ox with octopus tentacles. A common demon in Japanese mythology that takes the form of the ox is called ushi-oni. It is sometimes depicted - among others - as an ox with the body of a spider. The spider may have been replaced as octopus in Naruto, maybe to correspond to Sasuke's (possible) representation of Susanoo, the god of storms and seas. That, and maybe because ushi-oni are said to dwell in the ocean or other bodies of water.

Thought of the week... Use Sarutobi Asuma- Yuuhi Kurenai to explore the possibilities of a Hyuga Hinata pairing. 1. The Bet: Nara Shikamaru Factor: Each team sensei is usually closely associated to a specific student (of the same team). Team 10's Sarutobi Asuma  Nara Shikamaru. Team 8's Yuuhi Kurenai  Hyuga Hinata. Your pairing: ShikaHina 2. The Bet: Uzumaki Naruto Factor: The son of a former Hokage. Sarutobi Asuma is the son of Sandaime Hokage. Uzumaki Naruto is the son of Yondaime Hokage. Your pairing: NaruHina 3. The Bet: Uchiha Sasuke Factor: What's in the name. Hyuga Hinata (towards the sun ; sunny place) and Yuuhi (setting sun) Kurenai (crimson) may both be associated to the sun. Uchiha Sasuke and Sarutobi Asuma may both be associated to Sarutobi Sasuke, the legendary ninja. Your pairing: SasuHina

mialuv998- 11-02-2008

Hmmm... I seriously have to go with SasuHina, because Kishimoto seems set on getting Naruto and Sakura together, and it doesn't even look like he's even considered a ShikaHina pairing at all! Not that I'd be against it if he did... In my mind Kishimoto has been laying a foundation for this pairing. At the beginning of the manga it was almost like he went out of his way to keep both Hinata and Sasuke from having any sort of interaction. Hinata was too absorbed in Naruto and what he was doing, Sasuke was too absorbed in getting stronger and -*test*-('")ing himself against strong opponents, so he could fight and kill Itachi. If you notice, in the preliminaries before the three part of the chuunin exams, Sasuke was the first one to fight so he wasn't there when Hinata and Neji fought. Then almost the exact opposite happened in last leg of the Chuunin exams and Hinata was absent when Sasuke fought Gaara. Now, as far as post time skip goes, there isn't much Kishimoto has to do to keep the two of them from interacting. Sasuke is a missing nin and Hinata has had hardly any time in the manga thus far. This also goes with the fact that Team Kurenia hasn't had an opportunity to showcase their abilities to their fullest extent, Hinata especially. I for one think Kishimoto is leading up to something. Involving Hyuuga or maybe even Hinata specifically. Notice in the last few manga chapters how they went out of their way to refer to the Hyuuga before and at the beginning of the attack, then only show Hinata briefly before the fighting really begins? It should also be noted that Kishimoto seems to be connecting Sasuke with the Hyuuga at the same time, or--more importantly--Hinata, in a round about way. But this is just my interpretation of things. ^_^

Danko Kaji- 11-02-2008

I was thinking the same exact thing, mialuv998! ^^ You just saved me the entire effort of saying it. I'm not really miffed that he has kept Sasuke and Hinata apart for so long, because it isn't necessary to have them interact - but... impatient is what I am. XP

Thought of the week... What was Kabuto's goal in healing Hinata during the Main Event of the Chuunin Exams? Sakura was once healed by Kabuto after she was hit by one of Kyuubi's tails, with the intention of letting Team Yamato live because they can help destroy Akatsuki, a common goal Orochimaru shared. As for Hinata's case, what would be Kabuto's end of the bargain if he healed her? Kabuto at that time, wore ANBU gear to conceal his identity. Assuming that only medic-nins can heal (I could be wrong), Kabuto was then not actually obliged to heal because he did not appear to be one  Perhaps the reason why Kabuto also knocked Kiba unconscious was that the latter did have his suspicions. But then, Kabuto has his quirks. He probably felt like healing just because.
